Ghana Panic As Chelsea’s Michael Essien Is Stranded Due To Visa Problems
Ghanaian stand-in captain Michael Essien is having difficulties acquiring a visa to enable him to arrive in Angola on time for the African Nations Cup.
The Chelsea ace is now due to land in the Ghanaian camp on Monday, instead of Saturday as originally scheduled. “We have been working assiduously on obtaining a visa to Angola and until that comes through I am uncertain I will be there on Saturday.
“I will definitely be in Angola because I have the chance to fully serve my country once again,” Essien told Ghanasoccernet.com.
“I will definitely be in Angola even though I feel I am not fully healed and don’t feel 100%. I also lack match practice but will be there to fight for my place in the team for the good of Ghana.
